A bilingual programme that brings together language learning, cultural exchange and everyday life in our village.
Learn a language by living it
Conversazioni Italiane is based on the idea that a language is best learned when it is used in real-life situations.
For this reason, the programme combines guided language activities, conversation practice and opportunities for interaction within the local community.
Gratteri becomes an open-air classroom where Italians and international participants can meet, communicate and learn together.
One meeting per week
📅 July – August
⏱ 3 hours
Each session includes:
Language Lab
Guided language activities in Italian and English.
Language in Action
Practical activities, conversation practice and immediate use of the language in real-life contexts.
Reflection & Conversation
Discussion, clarification and consolidation of the skills acquired during the session.

Optional Experiences and Activities
Throughout the summer, participants will have the opportunity to join cultural activities and social events connected to the local area, including:
- traditional Sicilian cooking
- tomato sauce making
- meetings with members of the local community
- cultural walks
- activities in the historic centre of Gratteri
Participation in external activities is optional and may involve additional costs.
Participation Fees
Single Session (3 hours)
€60
Full Programme (8 sessions – 24 hours)
€360 as a one-time payment
€400 payable in two instalments of €200 each
Participation Terms and Conditions
- Advance booking is required.
- Participation fees are non-refundable.
- Registrations and individual sessions may be transferred to another person upon prior notice to the organisers.
- In the event of a participant's absence, missed sessions are not eligible for a refund.

The programme is directed by Professor Innocenzo Cancemi, English Language Teacher, Humanistic Counsellor, and Expert in Cultural and Experiential Tourism.
Make-up sessions are not guaranteed and may only be organised if at least three participants request a make-up session and the instructor is available.
